Cesarean Delivery and the Risk–Benefit Calculus

March 1. This editorial in the New England Journal of Medicine, discusses the problem of increasing intervention by obstetricians. It highlights the problem of having a Cesarean and the impact on future pregnancies . It concludes, rather philosophically, stating the need to "educate patients about the trade-offs entailed in choosing a particular course or intervention".
